Octopus Dimensional Signage

In a production design class, I was given the ability to print on PVC material. I was asked to choose a quote and make a display to present the quote through an illustration. I was to design the shape, construction, and graphics for a tabletop sign.

I found a quote that loosely translates to “thank you for the food” in English. I thought it sounded pretty sweet so I started brainstorming what I could do to build off of a food quote. I decided to create an octopus eating ramen because the idea sounded fun to me. I think that it turned out pretty great! Besides a few sharp cut lines on the illustration, I was very proud of how this turned out.
