WINGS Logo Redesign

WINGS is a networking group in Vandalia Ohio whose mission is to promote and celebrate women’s ambition through empowerment, encouragement, and connecting our members to industry leaders, with the goal of having long-lasting impact in our community. I set out to design a logo that would match the passion of their group.

Elegant and empowering, the logo emphasizes outward growth. The star at the top represents a woman in business who “grows her wings” through connection and community with other women. It symbolizes confident growth and the strength found in empowering one another.

We decided to use purple and yellow colors to communicate what the group stands for and associate with the Vandalia chamber of commerce. Purple is often associated with wisdom, royalty, power, ambition, and luxury. It can also represent magic, extravagance, pride, and wealth. Gold/yellow is associated with comfort, creativity, warmth, energy, hope, joy, confidence, dignity, riches, and cheerfulness. These colors and the feelings they evoke strongly associate with the identity of WINGS.
